Jones at The Harlem Book Fair Saturday, July 24, 2004. Solomon Jones is the author of the critically acclaimed urban mysteries Ride Or Die (St. Martin's Press, 2004), The Bridge (St. Martin's Press, 2003), and Pipe Dream (Random House, 2001). Jones’s newest work, Keeping Up With The Jones (Sola, 2004), is a compilation of humorous family stories from his award-winning column.  A veteran journalist who has been published in New York Newsday, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia magazine and the Philadelphia Tribune, Jones graduated cum laude with a B.A. in journalism from Temple University in 1998. He is the former regional director of public relations for the Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, and the former Director of Development and Outreach for the Philadelphia Committee to End Homelessness. Currently a columnist for the Philadelphia Weekly, Jones lives in Philadelphia with his family. The 6th Harlem Book Fair! This, the largest African American book fair of its kind, expected to draw more than 40,000 New Yorkers and visitors to West 135th Street (from Fifth Avenue to Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevards) in Harlem. Over 250 booths will be set up along West 135th Street offering books, story-telling, readings, and opportunities to meet and greet authors on four stages that will feature spoken word poets, celebrities, and music throughout the day.
