The National Black Fine Arts Show
I had the opportunity to hangout with Josh Wainwright, who launched the first annual National Black Fine Art Show. Wainwright’s dream was to provide a much-needed venue for showcasing and marketing the original works of Black artists from the United States, Africa and the Caribbean. The primarily African American audience was drawn from all segments of the population and included celebrities like Spike Lee, Ed Bradley, Oprah Winfrey, Cicely Tyson, Tyra Banks, Russell Simmons, Angela Bassett and Warren Beatty.
